There are many icons in the metropolis that is Lagos. The Icons are a creative force that drive the metropolis and when taken together, they create a unique urban fabric. Taken on their own however, each of the icons tells their own story. Together, they give a story of Lagos.
We will be profiling each of the 20 Icons that were exhibited during the “Icons of a Metropolis” exhibition, held on the 18th Feb 2012.
The aim is for this medium to provide a platform for dialogue and engagement about the Icons themselves, as well as the socio-economic context within which they exist.
